Certified Professional Coders (CPCs) are experts in coding medical procedures and services. It involves coding symptoms, diagnoses, and diagnostic tests for a patient. The CPC requires you to prioritize information and organize it efficiently so that you can solve problems effectively.

They need to be familiar with anatomy, pathology, and medical terminology. To enroll in the CPC, we require you to take these three courses—or a 3-in-1 course called Foundations in Medicine. Medical coding certifications such as the CPC are considered to be the gold standard in physician offices.

These are internationally approved certifications for medical coders. Become a CPC-certified medical coder and earn higher salaries, promotions, and career advancement. There are many opportunities to work in doctors’ offices, hospitals, government agencies, large corporations, and insurance companies. In addition, you can work as a freelance medical coder or start your own home-based coding business. A coding certificate proves that you have the requisite knowledge and skills to work as a professional coder.
