DHS, DME, JIPMER, and PGIMER are government nursing officer examinations taken by students who want to become nursing officers. Students who have completed recognised programmes are entitled to take the exams. Registered nurses who wish to become government nursing officers take the government nursing officer examination. Nursing students who have completed accredited programs are eligible to take the registration examination.
GOVERNMENT EXAMINATIOS
DHS –DHS Directorate of Health Services (DHS) manages all other hospitals, such as primary health centers and general hospitals, within the Kerala Government. Nurses are assigned to Grade-II roles in the health department cadres.
DME- As the Directorate of Medical Education (DME) ensures that all medical colleges, hospitals, nursing schools, and nursing colleges are functioning efficiently. In analyzing the factors responsible for this, it becomes clear that the standard of medical education delivery systems in the State plays a major role.
JIPMER- The Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) is one of the few institutions in the country that provides teaching from undergraduate to super specialties, conducts trail-blazing research and provides high-quality specialty care. JIPMER conducts JIPMER examinations every year for the purpose of admission to its undergraduate program.
PGIMER– PGIMER entrance exams are university-level examinations conducted twice yearly in January and July by the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGIMER) to accept candidates for postgraduate medical science courses such as DM/MCH, Research Fellowship and Medical Diplomas002E
