The International English Language Testing System or IELTS, is an international standard test of English language proficiency for non-native English speakers. OET stands for Occupational English Test, an international English language test for healthcare professionals. Language and communication skills are assessed to determine whether healthcare professionals are capable of registering and practicing in an English-speaking environment. There are two English language proficiency exams widely used by medical professionals. The English language skills of an individual are assessed in both of these exams.
